After the presentation in the prestigious venetian Museeum Querini Stampalia, the exhibition 'L’incanto dell'oro bianco. Porcellane dal Museo Marton' is showcased in Naples, in the superb Museo nazionale della Ceramica Duca di Martina in Villa Floridiana. As a special velue of this display is the confrontataion of pices from the Marton collection with the pieces from the collection of Placido de Sangro, Duca di Martina.
Opened in 1931, the Museo Duca di Martina in Naples is a home to one of the largest collctions of decorative arts in Italy. The museum collection numbers over 6000 European, as well as Far Eastern works of art, mostly ceramics, from 12th till 19th century. The museum was named after Placido de Sangro, duke of Martina, who bequethed his wast collection to the city of Naples.
